Bloated - yes. My G4 Powerbook (1.5 GHz, 1 GB RAM) is just as snappy with Tiger as the Vista desktop (which has another 700 MHz CPU and twice the RAM). There are also some extremely helpful functions in OS X which I'm surprised MS hasn't ripped off yet. For example, application "hiding". Hell, as far back as Mac OS 8.6 (maybe even earlier), one could hide a running application, which effectively got all of it's windows, toolbars, etc. out of the way (in pre-OS X systems, it also suspends their processes/threads). In Vista, you can resize and minimize application windows. Woo hoo. Yippee. Give us something that you
couldn't do in Windows 3.1.
