The times where I've had this happen, I've found it helpful to loosen the screws holding the motherboard to the case, insert and tighten all cards, and then tighten the motherboard. The motherboards usually have enough slop in their screw hole spacing to allow for proper alignment relative to the card bracing screws.

Resolved the issue with a simple fix. Valve Stem O-rings ftw.

They're hidden by the top cover of the expansion slot so aesthetically there's no difference.

Just got my hard drive and optical drive..

Ordered new and neither were labeled as OEM. Hard Drive showed up in a plain brown box and wasn't even secured. Banging around in the box.. Optical Drive didn't even show up in a box. Just an already opened plastic bag...

I've seen actual OEM items shipped better than this. So much fail.

Did you order from Amazon or something? I've never seen good packaging from Amazon.

Anyways, I suppose if everything works that's all that matters, right?

Yes, from Amazon. My bank has Newegg and Tigerdirect blacklisted as "fraudulent" companies (WTF?) and won't do business with them. Didn't really know where else to go..

Now.. Up until today I've never had issues with Amazon's packaging. Other items and PC components have always shown up in good condition with excellent packaging, in their original boxes. These two items however, did not. The power supply I got with them was fine though. Oh.. and the Seagate hard drive showed up in a generic western digital box.. go figure.

I've already sent an email to Amazon about it. I'm not even going to attempt installing these. Edit.. Well that was quick. Already got a refund.

Wait, so your bank can decide to not let you spend money somewhere? I'd be finding another bank if I were you.

My bank used to have a ban of sorts on Canadian PayPal. It was impossble for me to use my debit card on anything using the PayPal checkout thing in Canada. They never really said why when I asked about it.
