Anyone here use liquid cooling in their PC?

Hey guys, what's your opinion on closed loop liquid cooling for PCs?

I'm thinking about putting together a mini-ITX gaming PC built on an i7 CPU. I've read that the i7s put off a lot of heat and mITX cases don't have a lot of room for large heatsinks so I was thinking of going with a closed loop system on the CPU. I've never tried a liquid cool setup before so it's all new to me.

i have and it was nice in till broke. worked good in till lines got clogged. had to take to shop since not sure how to remove with out getting coolant all over mother board. have to be careful of what brand you get to. since some need to be change a lot other once in awhile.

if you're going to go out of your way to install something like that, show it off

Any particular reason for the i7? You won't see any performance gain over an i5 while gaming, likely better to put your money into a better GPU. In terms of a closed loop watercooler corsair makes some very easy to install coolers, I've had an h100i for around a year or so and its been fantastic for my overclocked 2500K.

I don't trust water cooling, but I know plenty of people who use them all the time. I do echo the sentiment of i5 vs i7, I have an i7, but that's because I do a lot of cpu intensive work as well as gaming

No reason on the i7. I couldn't decide on the i5 or i7 myself and just about half of everyone I ask says to go with the i5 and the other half says go with the i7. I do a little of photoshop, blender, and gaming so my CPU and GPU usage varies a little.

The h100i was the cooler I was looking at. From what I've seen it fits pretty nicely in the Corsair 250 ITX case.

Might be worth it for blender, probably not needed for photoshop though. Are you getting an SSD? If you want an h100i I have one brand new in the shrink wrap/box that I could sell/trade to you. Received 1 for Christmas last year but have had one for a while already.

I used those kits, I had corsair H60, worked really well for me. You should pick up h100i from Tiny.
I went with i5 4670k, I will tell you its not short at performance at all!
