| Trololol | Program that reads tmp?
Hey. I have programs that can read anything from windows or apple, however for some reason none of these will read a .tmp file. I have video from a corrupt SD card that has Pump Pandemonium footage. Trying to recover it. One of the files saved as .wmv_tmp and I was able to save that. But the other one (the larger one with more game film obviously, it always works out that way) is for some reason just .tmp Can't find anything that'll read it or convert it. Anybody have more experience with .tmp files that doesn't involve deleting them as is the usual way to treat them?

have you tried changing the suffix? this sometimes works try it out on a disposable file first

No dice, tried that first. It's worked before on other files. I can't figure out why it's such a bad file. And the worst part is that I apparently can't just convert it to a different file type. Haven't found anything that'll convert .tmp to.... avi or wmv or flv or anything. Bah humbug.

have you tired downloading new video codex? what kind of error message do you get when you use Win Media Player? try this first --> GSpot Codec Information Appliance gspot should be able to determine what codex it needs and what you have. |
