I am using Firefox 2.0.0.11, and NoScript as well, v1.2.9. Interestingly, my Firefox browser "upgraded" itself to the latest version of NoScript only 2 days ago, and the "crazzy.se" problem has been happening since then - so I wonder if it is to do with NoScript and not Firefox? Something unusual happened when the NoScript plugin was upgraded: the NoScript "you have upgraded" landing page that appears after a successful upgrade of NoScript had a message on it that said something like,"you have upgraded to v1.2.6 - but this isn't the latest version, which is v1.2.9. The latest version hasn't yet beed addeed to the mozilla.org upgrade server, so to get v1.2.9 you should click this link" (there was a link there to click!). I didn't do this - I figured I'd wait for Mozilla to catch up, and I did nothing more, assuming that I'd got v1.2.6. I thought nothing more of it, until reading your post here! I've checked, and it seems that my NoScript installation IS v.1.2.9 after all! All very bizarre... No solutions, I'm afraid, but I can confirm the problem! | |

| Fixing the 'crazzy.se' problem in Firefox The problem is being caused, as far as I can tell, by a Java Script file named getip.js which resides in (on my computer) C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\akzjk7pk.default\ext ensions\externalip@erik.morlin\content\getip.js If you cant find it there do a search in Find Files for getip.js I renamed the file getip.bak, and now my problems have ceased. It's not a virus as far as I can tell - just an annoyance. I have no idea how it came to be on my computer. It's also mentioned in user.dat and in Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\########.default\Cache\## ###### I'm using ####### just as an example, as each computer would, I imagine, be unique. I renamed the file (though it could possibly be deleted, but I'm taking the safer course), and restarted my computer, and Firefox has gone back to normal. Hope this helps _____ Fat |

| Yes, I did this, and it seems to have worked in my situation also. This started happening to me yesterday as well. Quote:

| VVulfe, thank you so much. I just registered for these forums for the sole purpose of thanking you. I've been having this problem for a while now. I also have the external IP plugin. Again, thanks for solving your own problem and thus helping me solve mine. |
