| I suggested renaming it - and how did it get there? Sorry, must have wires crossed. I posted yesterday about getip.js and renaming it, before I read about disabling External Ip. Thought you'd asked me if I had External IP installed. Your solution, VVulfe, is excellent. I've had no problems since disabling External IP, and will now alter the code in getip.js as you suggested, as with my hasty and clumsy method the problem was fixed, but External IP kept trying to load. Do you have any ideas as to how the code was altered in the first place? Thanks for your help ____ Fat. Greetings from Australia. Last edited by fatfat; 01-11-2008 at 10:43 PM. | I don't think it was altered in the first place, I think the two scripts in question (which returned IP data), become inaccessible for whatever reason (they were removed, password protected, lost as a result of a crash) and when ExternalIP tried to query them, it went bonkers. |

| You are the man. I had it narrowed down to the External IP plugin and had it disabled, but had no idea why it was broken, let alone how to fix it. So thanks! Now I can turn it on again. If it's okay with you, I'll post a link to your resolution on my website. Thanks again! Last edited by tygern8r; 01-30-2008 at 08:42 PM. Reason: More info |
