PDF to Word Coverter

Hey,

I need to get some text (need to copy it into a word document) from a PDF. Adobe wont let me directly copy and paste into word so I am wondering if anyone has a converter that will convert a PDF file to a text document. FREE would be good.

Thanks!

Take a hint from Kathie Lee; Hire cheap 8 year olds to transfer it for you, on a typewriter.

A complicated way to do it would be to print it, scan it into the computer, then use OCR software to make a word file.

Is it a pdf with actual TEXT? Or is it a scanned document and likely really an IMAGE ?

LOL!
Normally I'd be happy to watch someone sit down and re-type 30 pages of text....I'm must be getting soft in my old age.

Yes, if it is an image file you need Optical Character recognition by scanning the document onto your PC. Chances are, this is overly complicated, and you do not have the proper software (Cheap OCR starts at around $50, but has a bad accuracy rating, somewhere around %90). You are better off just reading it all and taking what you want from it.

In Adobe Acrobat you should be able to click file, and select "save as text". It will save it as a .txt file. You can then open that in MS Word and save it as a .doc.
