| Helmet Cam I'd like the get a helmet cam so I can record some of paintball action! Now I'm wondering what the best choice would be? My budget is about €200/$300 (Or $200 if I buy in America, with shipping and trade tax and all it'll end up being €200) for everything included. I don't have a recording device or anything so I need the whole bunch! Now I've been looking at the ATC 2000, which is a cheap, compact camera and recorder in one, which seems kinda nice. But I've read some mixed reviews about it, and at ~$100, I wouldn't mind spending a little more to get better quality. The problem is, it doesn't seem there is much... Most other setups have separate recorders (which isn't too much of a problem), and cost almost 5 times as much for a whole setup... And spending $500 on a camera + recorder is a bit steep for me... So what I'm looking for is something in between. I don't really mind cables, but I certainly wouldn't miss them either... So, do any of you guys have any recommendations? Edit: Oh, and I've also looked at the VholdR, which seems pretty much what I want, but they seem to be out of stock all the time...

| 1.21 gigawatts! | Well I'll tell you that I have the atc-2000 and it works great.I have it set to the highest resolution..Can't remember exactly what it is off the top of my head.I get about an hours worth of video on a 2gig sd card. The nice thing is that everything is self contained in one unit that is waterproof. The bad thing is even though it looks small it feels like cinder block on the side of mask. Not so bad if you had it mounted directly on top of you mask centered on your head.It isn't very heavy just feels really awkward on the side of a mask.I have actually been using it as a barrel cam the last few times I have been playing.I think it takes great video for what it is.In low light conditions it's not so hot... But in nicely lit areas it works very well. If you go to MCBTV.com you can see some footage that I have shot.

| Thanks! So on the side of the head isn't great with the ATC 2000? I don't really want a barrel cam, as that doesn't give as nice footage as a well placed helmet cam. I've also seen the GoPro Helmet Hero 3, which looks like it can be nicely placed on the head, but the video resolution is smaller...

| The ATC might be a good choice to screw around with until you get serious and/or better mid-range options come out. As far as I know there aren't real good midrange options right now.
