Joust was the best game ever! I can remember my parents playing that game back when I was in pre-school.

That's just cool!
I always liked the old games like that.

My mom went in to labor while playing Pac Man on her atari. I wonder if she still has her Atari somewhere at the house.

I still have the Atari that Dad bought us in 1983 to replace the one that my mom pilfered in the divorce (1980 Vintage)....We had quite a few games, my favorite was a toss up between Outlaw, Space Invaders, and Asteroids....although, I remember playing ET quite a bit too....

Love them old video games...We have a TI 99/4a still. I got pretty good at Parsec and Munchman....Gonna have to hook them up again, for the time being thank God for emulators....

Catchya on the Flip Side.....

Emerald Wolf -- you younguns are making me feel old. I'll slap the first one that makes me explain an 8 track tape...(I've already had to do that in real life)

There's still 1 or 2 of those down at my mom's house, along with a shiatload of games. There's also an original Odyssey-the kind where you put the plastic film on the tv screen.

You probably need a new one anyway. The old adapters didn't last as long.

Very Cool I still have my 99/4A packed in a box at my parents house. I think I still have some games on the cassette tapes.

Same here.
I originally got an Atari 2600 back in 1981, and it was great. But after watching the TV show "Whiz Kids", about a bunch of cool hackers, I WANTED a computer.

So in 82 or 83, they got me a TI-99/4A. The game I remember most is "Hunt the Wumpus" and Zork.

Then by 84 I wanted something more advanced, and got a C-64 with cassette drive. Nothing slower in the planet, and eventually complained enough that I got a disk drive! Still slow, but much louder, and hot enough to cook eggs!

I have an Atari Lynx hand held. I'll have to ask my Son where he put it lol. He used to spend hours on iy playing Batman. Anyway. Watch out for the EMO kids. That's so retro they will probably be so depressed they'll assult your house just to get it lol. Nice find.
