For those of you who insist on using a bit torrent client that's easily identified by your ISP.... Comcast backs off BitTorrent, will continue to manage internet traffic - Engadget

Well, its just a matter of time before the current internet collapses from all the data (video and sound) that it wasnt meant to handle. Plus, US providers are sorely behind in speed and quality of connections.

Comcast should have been hammered for their behavior. Sending out falsified packets is essentially electronic terrorism. If an individual was doing this it would be illegal and they'd be getting but-slammed by bubba right now.

Its shameful, but its not much different then when Sony was selling CDs that had a rootkit virus PURPOSELY installed. Illegal? Clearly in both cases. But the "big media", either Comcast, or Sony, have very powerful, and well funded lobby groups. I'm sure they argued to there congressmen that they are allowed to "break the law to catch law breakers". Sad. I'm pretty fortunate that Roadrunner has not killed its Usenet feeds yet. nick
