| They've played the "ending support" card before. Remember the stink when they tried to drop Nt4 support and ended up having to extend support because of all of the folks running it? Here's an interesting clip from the product lifecycle site... "3 As of April 2008, Microsoft is extending availability of Windows XP Home Edition for OEMs to install on Ultra Low-Cost PCs. The new OEM end date will be the later of either June 30, 2010, or one year after the general availability of the next version of Windows. "

I still need to get a new XP disc (long story about how I have a legal, unpirated XP install and don't have the disc but I do), so I should probably grab an XP pro disc soon so I can do maintenance till my XP machine dies.....or they come out with the next OS. Kind of like how XP came out after ME, but was essentially the next OS after 2k.

| You can download the disk anywhere, just use your activation key. XP SP3 and Vista SP1 have been out for almost 2 months now, I don't know why people keep saying 'it'll be here soon!'
