Yeah, the WFC mode is a lot of fun. I also like to check my regional and world time trial rankings every time I make a new personal best.

I already had a wireless network in my house so it took all of a minute to connect the Wii. I don't think it could be any easier. Nintendo was very smart to build in the wireless as it makes a great selling point. It really turned me off to the Xbox when I discovered a wireless adapter was an additional $50 (on an already pricier system).

Wait your Wii came with built in WiFi? I had to buy an adapter for mine. Granted it was only 20 bucks but dang.

Really? I don't think Nintendo made any non-WiFi Wiis. You do have to buy an adaptor to use a LAN cable, though...

Right, I'm pretty sure every Wii has built in WiFi. I guess you need an adapter if you want to run a cable to it, so it is sort of the opposite scenario as Xbox. But who doesn't have a wireless home network these days?

Your kidding me. I bought my Wii within the first year. In fact I got it the day they stopped giving the browser for free. I had to pay 20$ for a usb Wireless network adapter to hook into my wireless network. =( At least thats what the damned manuel said when I was setting every thing up it said something along the lines of "Wireless or lan adapter required for online play, not included".

EDIT: Ok So which update did that go live with? Because I had to use the adapter when I first bought my Wii. Now I don't have to but dang wish I had known about it before this LOL.

The wireless adapter was for people that didn't have a wireless router in their house, so they could connect through their computer that was connected to broadband.

And mario cart for the wii is great, wife bought it for my b-day.
