Eric, iTunes did not make your music files invisible, you're just not looking in the right places.

Start up iTunes, go to the Edit menu, select Preferences, select the Advanced tab, and you should see something like this:

Here you will be able to see exactly where iTunes is keeping all the music.

Alternatively, you can use Windows search feature to find a folder called "iTunes Music". Open the fold up, and all your music should be in there arranged in different sub-folders.

Titan... even if I was to do that, if I was to run a search from "My Computer", meaning the very top of the tree, for " *.mp3 " or "*.mp4 " I should be able to see all music files if they are saved as *.mp3's or *.mp4's. I'm not seeing anything on a search. Nothing.

It's like doing a year worth of working in M$ Word and then trying to do a search for *.doc ... something should come up in the search.

manually opening folders to find files won't matter if the files are hidden.

And again, if the folder exists, why can't my search for *.mp3 or *.mp4 generate the same results?
