It is displayed under your Mii picture on your license, and will also be displayed on the "Friends" screen in the Mario Kart Channel.

You need to install the MarioKart Channel on your wii, it's under the the settings medialion at the top right of the license screen.

Once you install the MarioKart Channel, you can switch over to it and connect with your License and your miishould appear with a 12 digit number under it. You also add friend numbers in the MarioKart channel.

You don't need to actually install the Mario Kart channel, you can access it from in the game. Just select your license (which will have your friend code on it, incidentally) and the Mario Kart channel is in the bottom right of the screen. No need to do an install.

Well we rented it to try it out. The wife is now determined to own it. So looks like as soon as its in stock and the flood waters recede we will find a way of acquiring a copy even if i have to sell a gun.
