Age of Conan?

Did anybody here pick up Age of Conan? It looked interesting, but I haven't completely decided if I want to sink my time into another MMO.

Besides people who bought it, anybody have any opinions from the reviews/ trailers?

got a buddy of mine that's in it. He loves it. Make sure you look at your computer specs before you pic it up. It wants a semi beefy graphics card.

I got it, not sure if I love it though... I play Lord of the Rings Online as well and most of my gaming group loves Conan but I am still meh...

I attempted to play AoC during the last beta. Even though my computer meets the requirements it was almost impossible to play.

From what I read on the forums they were using a real bad version of the client during the last beta for some reason, was real buggy and crashed a lot. The game did look interesting and I liked the game mechanics so I may give it a while and check it out again. Got tired of WoW, so been playing around with different Asian MMORPG's. At least with them if the the game sux I just delete it and don't feel ripped off for shelling out $40-$50.

I am in AoC and I am having fun with it. It doesn't have the hook that WoW had but it is still a great game. The water effects are stunning (if your graphics are high) and the graphics overall have a polished DAoC feel.

I saw a review of it on, hmm, x-play maybe? I wasn't impressed by what I saw, and i doubt my current system can handle it anyway. finally decided to give wow a try, but not sure how long i can stick with it. I honestly hate the (lack of) charachter development in mmorpg's, wow is better then most i've tried, but i detest the shoehorn approach most game systems take. if shadowbane hadn't sucked otheriwse, i really liked its system, so anymore I am pretty skepticle of giving a new game a try.
