Tell me about it, I owned a Traxxas T-Maxx for a few years, loved using and tweaking with it because I used to fly R/C aircraft. I put a good chunk of money into it, then traded it for a Spyder Flash package in a moment of insanity... I still have my Rustler though.

You would think that these digital picture frames would come with a better solution.
I wish they came, instead, with rechargable batteries that could be just charged once a month or so.

But like said above, they probobly burn through tons of current. The batteries might not last even a day?
That was my next thought. There is an outlet directly below where the frame would hang. I could always run the the cord inside the wall to the back side of the outlet. Or possibly into the Basement to an outlet.

It just amazes me that these things dont come with a smaller Laptop style battery that you'd just recharge...

They are expensive, and to power a LCD constantly they would need to be colossal. These frames should have included a workable power cord though. I guess they expect them to be placed on a table.

Good luck designing a nice rig.
thats what i meant. one with enough juice to do this job would be big and heavy. not all are. i guess i wasnt clear.

Exactly what I did. Visible wires is my pet-peeve.

When we built a house 8 years ago, the first thing I did was start drilling holes in our beautiful wood floors so I could hide speaker, and powerwires to my surroundsound system, phones, etc.

The wife wanted to kill me, though she did finally agree that the end result was worth it.

The basement, however, looks like an underground bunker with wires crisscrossing all over the place (ie network, remote speakers, etc)

I'm actually building a digital frame out of an old laptop and have decided to build it into a shadowbox large enough to house the guts of it and hide a standard outlet. Once it's done and the missus decides where she wants it, I'll have an electrician come out and install the outlet there. Then, in 3 months when the missus wants to move it, I'll have to do a little drywall patching and painting and get another outlet installed elsewhere...

Is this not the absolute truth?
