Azureus assistence

Hey,

I have been using Azureus for awhile now. However, I cannot stand the Vuze feature. Any way I can make the Vuze go away and the torrent screen is the default screen? Also I noticed the status bar has less info like ratios and NAT info. IOW, the latest Azureus feels kind of crappy to use.

Also what other recommendations in bit torrent software. I would be interested in finding something that works like Azureus but better. Also could use a cough cough cough a private cough bit torrent cough site cough cough cough. too. Man this cold is kickin the crapp out of me

The easiest way would be to use utorrent.

I forgot the version number, but when they upgraded to Vuze, I hated it, and reinstalled the previous version. Been that way ever since

Thanks so far for the suggestions. I was thinking about going with utorrent as well. It looked pretty functional. There are two copies of Azureus on my machine. I have a 2.5 version and the 3.0 version. When I tried to install the 2.5 version, the program wanted an instant update not buts for whatever reason. However I will give it another try though. Vuze sucks pretty bad. if not, I will look into utorrent.

bittyrant is still the old look of azurus, IIRC. Give it a try.

Hi,

Yeah I just install utorrent. Not bad. A quick learning session and all was good in the world. For some reason firefox is being a dick on my new Vista install. First I had problems in the transfer of profiles. Now it seems it wants to know what to do with a torrent dl eventhough it for permission to use utorrent automatically. I don't know. This is my first really annoying experience with FF. Go figure.

yes you can set the default to the torrent window and never look at vuze its in the options setting
