Lately all of the computers in the house have started acting strange, even more so, all at the same time they stopped loading images right. Now, for a while it went away on my computer, and it rarely happens on the others, but now its hitting mine alot harder than before. Some images it loads alright, others it does thinge like this to:


I hope you can see that, because after I uploaded it it looks even worse, thats on the small side of what it does.

Also, it has problems with Youtube, sometimes it refuses to play though videos all the way, getting stuck on random parts and will not do anything. Other times it will run fine for a bit then zip to the end of the video and wont play though.

If anyone has any idea whats going on, please let me know.

I'm not sure, its been a while I guess, I'm not to computer savvy, however its happening to all the computers in the house that see alot of use all of the sudden.

try to reset yeur computer to a recent back up date.

most PCs have a system restore feature that saves all of yeur settings in case you lose them.

if you have windows XP its easy to go in and reload to an earlier time and go from there. that should fix the problem i doubt its anything internal. (beware, you may lose data you downloaded after the retore date)

ill show you how.

in windows XP go in this order:

start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore.

it will guide you through the restore when the window opens, choose a date before the problem occured.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I'm looking at any options I have. I'm backing up files now onto a hand full of those little pin drive things.

EDIT: Its getting progressively worse now, Youtube wont run videos anymore at all, the whole screen looks weird.

Further EDIT: Restoring did not work, trying again now.

a virus maybe? if you do alot of downloading, you may have a nasty trojan.

Its possible, but I just dont believe three heavily protected computers got it at the exact same time.

I now am not have as many problems with it, however I cannot access my bookmarks list, I can click of the links, but they dont go anywhere. Also, the bottom lip of FireFox at the bottom of the browser window is massive and I cannot make it slim down.

I'm not home right now, so I have a working computer atleast.


Virus scans in the past have shown nothing what-so-ever, I believe they are both running XP.
