reformatted XP pro - Page 2

Vista LOL. I just purchased a new laptop from Dell and specifically requested XP Pro. The sales women said "Oh there's a surprise" HAHAHA.

Your laptop probably defaulted to "wireless off" after the reformat. Look at your keyboard. On mine its Fn+F2 to turn it off and on.

Hot DAMN!! Thanks for all the help. I figured everything would be on the startup disks. Nope. So thanks for the advice for going to dell and downloading all the updates. That got the wireless icon on the computer but it would not find my wireless in the house or any at all. So special thanks to MEDIC for the hot key functions cause I would have not even thought of that. By the way, I am still looking for the ANY KEY button. Any hints where that would be located?

the any key is the big wide key at the bottom of the keyboard... you hit it so much that you wore the label off it..

I thought it would be up in the F keys somewhere. And when I want to end my session why do I have to go to STart? I want to finish not start.
