Duke Nukem is one of my all time favorites. One of my first FPS's, so there's a strong nostalgia aspect. Serious Sam is of a similar vein, great sence of humor, and the baddies come at you in waves . A newer game, Painkiller, is similar. No real 'plot' to worry about, just waves of baddies to slice and dice, though it needs a 128 video card.

You might be able to run Max Payne. Since the movie is coming out soon (tomorrow I think) I've been replaying it.

Command and Conqueror the First Decade

It's every C&C game up till Generals with their expansions, and you should easily be able to run everything save Generals. When I bought it last year and I think it was...$40? probably cheaper by now, a great deal IMO

If you can find 'em the earlier Heroes of Might and Magic games are awesome.

Yes, Worms games are a blast. Single player is good, but multiplayer is so much more fun. You can't do anything while you watch your "buddy" destroy you. Truly turn based awesomeness.

Anybody ever see a good Go program for the PC?

I like playing a quick game of chess, poker, etc. w/o having to go online. Nothing too serious, just something to blow some free time.

(BTW: Go = board game w/ black-n-white stones.)
