Aaron Lecain's 1 off Tactical Phantom - DECIDED TO KEEP IT

DECIDED TO KEEP IT

1st things 1st: I WILL NOT PART ANYTHING FROM THIS GUN, so please don't ask. It's all custom anodized to match, and it's going to all stay together as long as I own it. CASH PRICE IS $675 FIRM - Previous owner was asking $800 when I got it in a trade

I definitely did not intend to whore this gun when I got it at the end of this past summer from it's second owner, DM6Rocker, but then again who does. Alas I've decided that I'm going to put the Aaron Lecain 1 off Tactical Phantom back up on the chopping block. I love this gun, but I'm working w/ O'Lane to build my own custom Phantom Rifle w/ a Boyds Laminated Stock and one of O'Lane's trigger groups, and for the following reasons I'm ready to put this gun back out into the wild.

Bottom line up front: As much as I want to keep this gun because of it's uniqueness I'm just not a huge fan of the spring feed reload process. I've been playing w/ phantoms for over 6 years now and the reload process for the spring feed is a very specific 6-step process and took a little practice to get used to:

1) fire a round / empty the breech
2) lock spring forward
3) pull feed-tube plug
4) w/ gun tilted forward, pump/chamber the round sitting over the breach (THIS is what messed me up on the field the first time I played w/ it - if you don't do this, the ball sitting over the breech prevents rounds from being able to be loaded because it sticks up into the feed tube)
5) reload
6) re-plug
7) re-engage spring

Once I practiced it off the field, I had no problem w/ it, but again I just prefer the quicker reload of a standard horizontal feed... I also tried playing w/ the spring out of the spring-feed, but couldn't get the "rock-back" action down... kept rocking it forward! LOL... force of habit I guess.

The second reason I'm selling it is because besides the Phantom Rifle I'm building currently, I've also got a couple other big wants that this $/trade could go towards; I've got a RTR Buzzard pump handle that I'm itching to get on a Buzzard, and I'm also considering making the leap up to a Gargoyle from my other stock class phantoms...

Aaron Lecain's 1-off Tactical Phantom Features:
1) custom 1-off 15 round spring-feed milled by Noxx55 and Aaron Lecain a few years back (hopefully Aaron can clarify on it's history a little more)
2) custom Matte OD green/grey-brown-ish ano (color sort of changes depending on the lighting)
3) matching Rainman undercocking kit
4) matching Phantom threaded Freak back w/ 16" tactical tip
5) matching custom stock (positioning is reversible depending on your preferences)
6) matching CCM 86* frame
7) 2x matching 4oz tanks w/ on/offs
8) black 12gr CCI bucket changer
9) Overall length: 31.5 inches
10) Barrel length: 15 inches (I always played w/ a spare 12" AA tip - but that's just my personal preference)
11) Stock length: 12.5 inches horizontal from the base of the grip frame
12) Horizontal Center of gravity is about an inch forward of the Trigger
13) Weight: Approx. 6lbs unloaded w/ 12gr bucket changer
14) Nipple-style (not o-ring style) Detent mod (Spyder I believe) - BUT I lost the little rubber detent

Again this is a true ONE OF A KIND GUN... none others exist like this and the spring feed is completely custom and I will not part it from the gun!

So having said all this, here are some pictures; hope you enjoy them!

It will come with everything pictured to include the 2x matching 4oz tanks w/ SP on/off valves, and the Black CCI dropout changer.

CASH PRICE: $675 FIRM shipped (this is my lowest price so don't ask) If it doesn't go for this price, I'll gladly keep it just for it's uniqueness
TRADES OF INTEREST: Gargoyle w/ a little $, or Carter Buzzard w/ a little $, also I'm a whore for "loaner"-guns so I'm always willing to do a 2-4-1 or 3-4-1 as long as it's a win-win for both of us

And Finally, a link to the previous owner's for sale thread which has lots of additional info in it: 1 off Tactical Phantom FS/T

I found that using it as a rock and cock (take the spring out) works the best in this marker. The spring feed was a one of a kind prototype and the spring action still has some bugs. Without the spring it acts just as a feed tube. I would love to buy this back but I haven't set foot on a paintball field in almost 3 years. It would just sit on my shelf as a conversation piece.... if anyone has any questions about it (I built it) please let me know. The price is crazy cheap as I put almost $1500 into it when I built it.

Wow! Thanks Aaron, I appreciate the info, and I'm sure any prospective buyer does too! Thanks again so much for the opportunity to temporarily own this awesome piece of paintball history! Like I said, I will have no problems holding on to it... but figure there's probably several people out there that would also love to have it for more than just a wall hanger... And sorry to hear that you haven't been on a field in a while. Thanks again man.

Like the kind of gun you just sort of have to loan out to your buddy who's never played before... that sort of thing - a tippy, spyder, basic cocker or phantom...

Definitely not just interested in a big "loaner" gun trade though! LOL... just as a supplement for some cash on top of one of the primary trades I'd be interested in (ie: in addition to a Gargoyle or Buzzard) for a 2 or 3 for 1 trade... thanks for asking smrf
