FS: RTP Viper (vert air, sidetubed, .680 barrel, upgrades)

GONE

Up for grabs is the RTP Viper I just got in. It's side-tubed (looks to be about 15 rounds) with a vert air setup, making it one of the only vert air Vipers I've ever seen. Maybe the only. Anyhow, ignore all that because I've changed it to a bottomline using a brand new PPS UMB, a dust black on/off, and macroline's vastly more accomplished older brother - steel braided hose. I then put a foregrip in the vert ASA; it's actually pretty useful since the pump has a return spring in it and doesn't need to be held forward.

Currently:

Original setup (previous owner's pics; I'll include the macro fittings to change it back to this):

Airs up and shoots great with no leaks. It was shooting a little hot with .686-.687 Dye CG (about 320) but some spring trimming, a Stab, or smaller paint should take care of that. I should probably underscore that it was shooting large-bore brittle paint at high speed with zero breaks... The pump and trigger action are both amazing.

Only listing because there's a few guns for sale I'd like to make a grab for (and to make stimpy mad ). That said, not really looking at trades other than AKA's.

Price: $520 shipped US, International a bit more for shipping (we'll work it out)

Awesome gun. Can you explain the vertical adapter.. Why the angled shroud piece above the Vertical ASA itself? Not just a straight one...

Sure thing! The VASA is actually a Cooper T backbottle. Rick soldered the angled piece onto the body and ran a bolt through into the ASA to hold it in place. The ASA is sealed aside from the side output so the top shroud doesn't actually hold any air - it's just a mounting bracket.

And yes, it is awesome. Really not gonna be disappointed if no one takes it, there's just a few other shiny things I'd like to have.

Back bottle ASA. That explains it.

I was trying to figure out why it was ran that way.

Yeah I like this thing a lot. Free up and thanks for explaining.
