I'd rather use red, for permanence, and heat to remove, if necessary.

As this thread has become huge, and I am unwilling to do any research (go ahead, call me lazy) what are the changes between the first generation hammers and the current ones?

Pictures might be nice for some of us

Perhaps I should have worded it differently ... I didn't say it had a screw on it. I said it had a screw-on piston head ... as in the piston heads screws onto the piston rod.

Ty - sounds like the new hammers are steel instead of the aluminum of the originals

Excellent! Saves me the trouble of making one out of stainless

So this is a V3 piston. Played a total of 6 hours with it and I am using the new PTFE lube they suggested and
this happened last night after a couple hours of play...I am going to talk to Brian and Dave and see about a complete
replacement gun. It may be easier for the few of us that have them and live in Boise. I will let you know.
Oh and I know I will here from the Friday night guys so i expect it....lol

Well that sucks... I don't understand why they didn't make the V3 piston out of stainless. Seems like the design is good, but the material is lacking. I had aluminum shavings all over the air chamber from the piston head scraping around. That's just bad news.

I think that the stainless was heavier, and thus people were having problems getting their guns up to velocity.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
