Or at least just the piston rod ... The piston head seems fine now with the V3. The issue was always the piston rod bending ... either at the threads, or the smaller o-ring grooves. They solved the piston head retention issue just to accentuate the real problem ... A weak piston rod.

I got off the phone with them today and he mentioned not useing vasoline if running on co2 and did say they are useing that other lube that was mentioned before in this thread.

I was at Metadyne today and got a new piston from Brian. He was telling me that he has a design that should fix the piston issue..as mine and now woouulf seem to have the only broken V3 pistons.
As for lube he uses a PTFE grease. I got mine from Harbor freight.
also for the guys that have sent them back in. Give him time ....its a small operation and he is working on it.
