My Thumper has the V3 piston, and it's been excellent.
The only recurring issue is the o-ring on the bolt likes to go. I'm okay with it, because it's not been very frequent.

These markers are taking a lot of flak from people, for good reason, but once you get rolling with one, it's absolutely phenomenal. I find myself more accurate with it than with any other marker, pumps included.

To anyone waiting on theirs to be repaired, trust me, it's worth the wait.

Meh, IDK about that. i managed under 50 rounds before mine crapped out and thats days later from receiving it back from repair/upgrade. I agree some have had luck with theirs while many others have had nothing but problems.

Well, I called Brian last night; he's very reactive and I felt he was involved in the project; I asked him to send me just the parts, so I can replace them myself and it was not a problem at all; he said he would give me some directions and if I have issues with it I can still ship it back to him.
I'm pretty sure the gun will run smooth after these parts installed; from now I just have to wait and see.

I agree with you Vvomp; that marker is an awesome shooter; it feels like no other and shoots damn straight!

Apparently thumpers don't like water logged balls. JUST SAYIN'!
Though these things can really take any type of paintballs, I've been guilty of nabbing a few off the ground and wiping em 'clean'. No one has to know

I typically carry one extra tube and give them 1 ball from it.

I'm an *** like that.

They do get tested, Brian hooks them up to a large co2 tank and dry fires them a few times before sending them back, though I have had guns that worked great in the shop fail later when I go to test them at home, or even guns that didn't work at home that somehow magically worked when I got to the shop.

It's Velcor. Ask anyone who's experienced the "EMR curse".

I've been on the receiving end of that particular curse

Just had a little idea a few minutes ago; as the main issue with this gun seems to be the reg piston sticking, I was wondering if modifying the front block by adding a little pusher right over the poppet so you could push the piston back and forth until it unsticks by itself could help?
Like an unjamming lever on the M4...

It gets stuck in the opposite direction of the front black and needs to be pulled back toward the front

Well that's what I though; tough I'm sure you can unblock it by pushing even more on him, let it go and let the spring do it's job; using the reg poppet own mass to produce the energy needed to bring it back to place, with the help of the spring...
like an inertia hammer!

With a simple button that could cost you a nail to release it fast enough, but that's worth swapping a new twelvie

I will make the test if I have the chance to make it stick ^^
