I personally think it's just a problem of the reg piston seating in exactly the same place each time. My reg piston has almost a point to it, where the others I'm seeing (that have the issues) are flat faced with a small beveled edge. I think if he went back to using the pointed reg pistons, it would be having better luck.

mine felt as if the orings would hang up on the air ways and not have enough energy to push back forward. it always felt like just pushing it enough made it jump over the hole that the oring was sitting on. atleast when i had to take mine apart to get it up and running.

At some point when my Thumper has gone through all of its final phase of up grades, I too will be back here to contrribute.
Thanks to LilShank, I can just sit back and take it all in stride.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Well my try with the master Eclipse kit Ego/geo orings while using Dura Lube oil that i had mentioned earlier last week worked flawless. I played a whole 500 rounds today with out a single issue. The highest number amount ive gotten out of the thumper was only 10-50 rounds before "Click...Click...Click"

I'm pleased with the results thus far. My only issue was pinches since i ws using left over oblong paint all day, but it still flew straight. I manage to chrono in @ 280fps on Co2. While it is not shimmed and running a stock reg spring.

So idk if this is the fix but it seemed to work for me.

Yup. i replaced all the reg o-rings and the piston one's. i did a test on replacing the reg o-rings and they held up, the front piston o-rings managed to go soft after 1000 psi dry fire before it managed to stretch out of the piston groove.

wow, so it was still catching when I fixed my spring
so i lubed it up and took it out, first game worked alright until the end
when I chopped a ball and had to clean it out
well it sat there until some body mentioned it so i gave them the run down on it
and bang it started to return after cocking it ......... ;( then half way thru that game.....click click click....

I took it apart but have yet to clean it all out

damn just when I thought it was back to shooting normal

Folks, if you want to make your ideas stick, there is a Thumper Sticky there where we can add our modification at.

mine is leaking out of the valve near the pin. i held just the body and vertical air under water and confirmed. when i push in on the valve pin slightly it stops the leak but also starts the main piston in a slow motion firing sequence. i found a valve on clippard's web site that is pretty close and by close i mean .005 of an inch off on the valve body. what do you think? it says it is only good up to 300 psi and i image that this little marker is running higher than that. don't want to spend another $20 bucks for brian to tell me i broke my valve and have it sit there for 6 months to get fixed. these valve are only $6 a piece. here is the sight.

http://www.clippard.com/store/byo_co...tem_valves.asp

found two local distributors for clippard valves in st louis as they were going to add $7 for shipping and $10 for handling just for 2 tiny valves. may have to see if the local stores can get them in and see if they work.
