It looks like the al piston to me, and I replaced the clear orings. The hole in the reg screw is not a clean cut and doesn't look like it should be there. I've emailed, PMed, sent a customer support email through the website and called Brian... no luck yet.

I think I can see that the hole goes all the way through, is that right? Either way, I don't believe it should be there (I'm not 100% sure that it would affect performance since there isn't anything to seal that particular screw other than the threads themselves, but you never know)

That is the latest main piston though, and like I said, just a little vaseline on all the o-rings keeps mine running fine, I even run my reg piston dry.

I'd say try to call Brian sometime Monday morning, I usually have pretty good luck between 1 and 2 PM Mountain time.

Yeah, it goes all the way through. From what I understand of the marker's operation, I don't think it will affect performance. The piston ALMOST looks bent... it's hard to believe that's the latest version. I really think it's the valve now.. I gassed it up and let it sit over night and it still only fires after about 30 seconds.

I don't think the lube issue is going to keep it from functioning like this, but who knows. I'll keep trying to get in touch with Brian.

You can take it apart to just the body with the vertical asa and front chamber, for the main piston, to see what is going on with the internals. When i pushed in on my valve pin real slow, it caused the marker to fire slow motion.

Well I got 20 shots off yesterday before my 12ie died. I cleaned it up really well and lightly relubed it. Now I think it may be a problem with the valve/hammer contact. But I can see tiny metal pieces from the pistons. Going to try to call Brian again.

Does anyone know where the chuffing sound comes from? Trying to troubleshoot...

Update: Just shot through 3 12ies with no problems. I think the reg piston has been most of the problem. Yesterday I shot through 2 12ies and thought I would be good today, nope. Same problem I had before where it would only shoot if I waited a long time between each shot. Well I disassembled earlier and found one piston oring was damaged and the other was swollen up. Maybe using vaseline on these orings it bad for them? I'll give it a day and see what happens. If the orings are damaged again, I'll use vaseline on the valve ONLY and use Gold Cup on the rest of the rings.

My last response, by email, with Metadyne, was a month ago, June 1st. I tried calling, around 3 times today, at different times, just to get the straight to messages response. I will keep trying to call them, but since it was stated specifically to me that it was done, and shooting just fine, I just don't know what is going on.

The chuffing is normal, it comes from the hammer riding up on the valve stem while the marker is being cocked. It's supposed to do that

I see. I think everything is in working order now, I just need to replace some orings that I think were messed up by the vaseline... and my main piston is chewed up but hopefully Brian will send me a new one soon enough.
