lol yea, keep at it. 99% of people including myself have similar problems getting in touch. most, if you keep at it, will eventually be able to get in touch on the phone. in my experience, once you're able to get them to pick up the phone/take your call they're great help. I don't think that has been everyone's experience, of course. emails seems to be very iffy, most don't get replies, those who do often experience week-month delays. so, yea, you already know the deal though

I've had good luck getting in touch with them via phone around 1-3pm Pacific time, fyi, but that was before they relocated their shop or whatever, so ?

Yes the valve is the MAV-3C. Use the distributor locater on the clippard website to find a place near you to order a few valves. I got them for about $6 a piece as metadyne wanted $20 for one. If the valve is leaking then it is shot and you need a new one.

Found two for sale on here for $20 bucks, grabbed them both before anyone else could get their grubby hands on them

if anyone is placing an order for those valves lemme know, I'm thinking more and more about stocking up on some back ups as I get my thumper o-ring kits assembled for some folks around here - I figure a seal kit wouldn't be complete without a back up valve, you know

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

I seem to be having a velocity issues. Not matter if I use a LP, MP or HP tank output I can get not above 260 FPS. Even if I take off my gas through grip and use the 12gram adapter on it, it's the same issue. That's with the velocity adjuster being in all the way, backing it out obviously gives me even less.

It's #36 and was only sent in once after first getting it cause the carbonfiber pump rods keep pulling out and has been forgotten since. So I assume there probably has been a fix to this already?

the fix for this was putting small washers in the regulator piston cap to give the spring a little more pressure. problem is we found out that the internal reg works fine as long as you regulate the air going into the marker. myself and toymachine have put an external reg in and set it below 300 psi, mine is around 280-270 and toy's is set to about 250 psi. this helps the internal reg do its job better. i use my internal reg for velocity adjustment and toy has eliminated his internal reg all together.

Has anyone tried to modify the chamber or internals to get a lower operating pressure?

how low a pressure are you trying to get? this is already running in the "well tuned sniper levels" of operating pressure.

Not really trying to get anywhere specific, it seems that this internal reg isn't very good and some have posted problems getting their thumpers up to speed. So if the gun were to work at a lower pressure then that reg wouldn't cause as much greif? ?? Maybe? ??
