Here's a fun lil note..i have spent a week or so dealing with a problem child Thumper..Changed out the bent V3 piston to a V4, replaced all the o-rings just for kicks.. I just couldn't get it to cock after assembly.. I knew it was something to do with the trigger or the back plate and the lil toggle thingy..Take it aparts and put it back togather on and on and on, nothing,,So today well rested ,not too much coffee and bamm, its hits me.. The pump arms were not even, causeing the back plate to be cock eyed..A few taps with a hammer and all is good in the world... Ok, so now on to the Raw in color Thumper that i got in the mail today..Air it up and it just auto triggers when i push the back plate.. turns out it the trigger had a spring guide..Remove the spring guide and snip 2 coils off the spring and BANG all is good in the world (for today anyways).. I have once more 4 working Thumpers..

mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

AWESOME! way to go woouulf! Didn't know about that with the trigger spring - this is something I need to try! Maybe it'll stop my thumper from farting a tiny bit when I cock the gun (at the rearward point of the cocking motion, just as the trigger is caught/engaged by the hammer).

Also great info on keeping the cocking rods even in the back place/block thing! Was that a gun with carbon or composite or whatever rods or the more durable SS? Anything unusual about the gun, such as you stripping the ano or treating the finish with anything?

The better o-rings will cut down the farting to a point.I cut the springs down for a lighter trigger pull,I forgot that this will negate the auto trigger for some reason.. Some how one of the rods diddnt get pressed in all the way or somehow backed out..All the markers have the SS rods..I wont mess with any thumper that has the CF rods just because they will have to be sent in and replaced,,I dont want to go thru all that. Not now at least..Thumpers are a unknown enity IMO and each one will have its own issues ..I have Valves that wont interchange, they work in one but not another.. heck, some set screws with o-rings dont do anything, they are just there... go figure?? I can fix any thumper with the right parts if i have them, i just cant keep them working.. I have 2 with the Reg mods "under 300psi" and it seems to work just fine keeping them alive. I need to have a SC Thumper for an up coming game and like a fool sold the ones i never had an issue with. doing the stablizer & reg thing might do the trick. but that kills the weight and the advantage of having a Thumper ..No one has come up with a fix for that although o-rings help and give me around 500 shots untill the V4 pistons bend or break...I feel 80-90 durameter o-rings with improve the shot count before the marker dies is SC mode...I just have to find them in the sizes needed..

4 working Thumpers in one place ...

Huh, good to know - I've only been trying 70 durometer rings and 80 when I find I have them. I'll have to buy a bunch of 90's!

I'm going to be getting a CART reg + 12g changer this weekend. gonna try it with my old female stab once I get her rebuilt. hopefully that'll come closest to the original light design idea, cause as you said my CA setup sure dont!

again, much thanks woouulf! LOVE that (acidwash?) red thumper there

Damn Darren! This is the first time I've seen your acid washed Thumper. For some reason I was thinking of an entirely different color.

But anyway, I REALLY like it!
