Do you mind taking a picture of the bottom (without the trigger) cocked and uncocked? I wonder whether the hammer supposed or not, to slightly depress the valve pin when uncocked.
I will do that as soon as I get back to the shop in the am.

Do you think this is going to hurt my chances of ever getting my Thumper back?

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

No worries, especially with new stuff like the thumper we all have our own vernacular - and yes pictures always better than words, especially with this stuff like I said. Gotcha, so it is the entire vert adapter that's giving you problems? Or just the setscrew withing? Or the other screw that holds it to the main body?

I have one that had the same issue and old owner had it replaced before i got it.I couldnt figure out why it came with a spare untill i tried the mismatch parts thing. The VA threads are softer than the body and will give out if over tightened..

I love how there is always a new issue, regardless of which model, or how much work has been done, to a lot of thumpers out there. I guess I should count my blessings... but then again, people like likshank (I think, or maybe I'm thinking of woouulf, but whatever you get the point) ****ing luuuucked out, being able to use their thumpers unmodified even with the stock 12g setup... seriously tho, how much of your souls did you have to sell to get that deal?!

Actually mine was working just fine with the stock 12g setup. Just never went over 275fps.

Well my thumper seems to like me now, it works, but i got a suspicion that something is wrong with clippard valve. First shot after airing up, is with a touchy trigger, unless i pull the trigger forward.

Also
one thing i completely forgot about: the front small oring on the bolt - doesnt like to be there, but it doesnt seem to have any negative effects.

As in that bolt oring falls off? And that trigger issue sounds more like a hammer problem than clippard problem, but who knows... Just remember, if you ever want to replace your clippard/actuating valve, go through someone around here like joedirt instead of metadyne (straight form distributor/manufacturer for 10-20 w/ shipping as opposed to metadyne for like 40-50 w/o shipping - i.e. total rip off for what should otherwise be everyday cheap product).
