I haven't used my thumper in a while as i have moved on to real steel guns till the weather comes back around. No air to double check mine but i aasume it will work fine when the season warms back up.

I'm not quite sure. There isn't a gauge on it. It was on my son's old gen 1 Ion, so it was set pretty low. I adjusted up from there until I had a usable balance between inline and internal.

Edit: I should mention that it's not a stock Ion reg. It's a CP reg.

K, you might want (read: should) invest in a gauge adapter. It'll make your life just that much easier, ensuring you will sleep well, knowing that you inline reg won't get about 300psi (or thereabouts)

A dust black fatty stab is in my future, so the gauge problem will be resolved. The CP was an emergency install until after the Xmas bills are paid.

Honestly, wtf?! I mean, it's hardly unheard of, but I just don't understand why Metadyne's custom service and whatnot is so subpar. I mean, from what I know and understand of the guy Brian is really a stand up guy. I mean, I can understand if he's swamped with other stuff along with all this debacle of a marker, but I just can't wrap my head around how customers have consistently gotten so neglected. I mean, quite a few have been treated really well, but it would seem those cases are the exception, far from the rule...

It. Just. Makes. Me. So. Sad.

There is so much potential here! Yet it would once again seem it's left to the consumers, like Rage, to sort the quirks all out. Why, God, why?!? IT'S JUST NOT FAIR!

I think metedyne moving away from the thumpers was a smart decision for them, They need to focus more on their other products, and get their Customer Service fixed. I am glad I bailed out of my thumper when I did (as georgous as she was). I would love to see a public message from Metedyne like:

"sry guys we had a great design, rushed it to market too fast, and unfortunatly it is verry buggy. Were a Small opperation and tring to comeup with fixes, and get them installed into customers guns has taken over our entire buisness. We are stepping away from the thumper to work on other things and get this company back to what it was. Sry for crapping the bed on our first attempt of a pump."


I'd say turn this into an open source like project getting feedback and changing the design/parts with everyones help.

All i want is my Thumper back. Going on 7 weeks now since i sent it in for the big bore piston upgrade. This will deff. be the last and final time i send this marker in, given the recent news of the direction of the thumper.
