I have a question or 2.
I am having a problem getting the velocity up past 260 fps no matter what I do.
Do you think that the piston is not opening fully because the spring is too stiff?
Something like if you put too strong of a spring in a cocker valve it does not open all the way?

Or is there something I am missing? Or maybe something with the internal reg?
BTW it does have the new hammer/sear in it. I am running it with a 13ci tank, no reg just the inline one. I am confused any help would be great.

Thankx

Possibly could be the spring. Could also be the clippard/actuating valve isn't operating fully. Could also be an internal reg problem. I'd say first get a reg with a gauge or gauge adapter and see if it's not the internal reg giving you this problem. Next, if you have an extra piston spring and/or clippard valve try replacing them and/of modifying the spring by cutting a little bit of coil off. But as it's the easiest, try an inline reg first, although for some reason I have a feeling it might be the clippard valve that giving you trouble...

I got the velocity issue all fixed.. Funny story... I took it apart to check the lpr and what did I find? O-rings and lots of them. I found little pieces of o-rings blocking the air passages. About 5 little slivers, as soon as I cleaned that out the flow seemed to be better. It went from 260 to 290 which I am happy with. It looked like the last owner when changing o-rings that leaked did not look for the old pieces.

My suggestion to anyone who can't get the velocity up, try taking out all the grub screws and checking to see if the air passages are free of debris including lube.

Watch for more updates coming soon from me!

Well I decided to do some videos of my CO2 friendly thumper so not everyone that reads this thread thinks these guns suck. Mine seems to work very well after I replaced the clipard valve and the orings.

Well done brother! If only I had a video camera I'd do the same for all three of my thumpers. After replacing orings and installing inline regs, and proper maintenance, they are all still going strong, almost 10k shots later (collectively).

Anybody worried about it, I just got confirmation that Metadyne is not moving away from the Thumper platform, and all the markers will still be able to be serviced.

I also have been told that they are moving the factory, again. Brian said he'll get me the address tomorrow.

mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
