Still have a version 1, talked to a local machine shop, going to see about picking up some stainless steel or titanium to make a new piston and I have an idea on the ends and how to make them stronger.

As in it is stiff in returning?
Or does not come back all the way?

When you put the rods back in do they move freely? or stuff going through the guide holes?

I have never came across that before.

mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

does not come back all the way...I can nudge it and it will return
but feels like something is stopping it
might need to polish up the rods, or clean them up
but looking at them it dosnt look like there is a problem

also we still using vasoline as lube or something else?

It may be that your rods are not completely lined up with one another. It'll cause binding if they are not properly seated. It what's been ruining my V1 Thumper. Damned carbon fiber rods don't want to stay put after a few shots.
