Ok i'll admit that i'm to lazy to do a search but do anyone remember if there was a fix for pinching paintballs in the Thumper?

there was a breech upgrade from metadyne that made it much less likely to happen. the 2.0 breech. since you still have the problem i assume you're working w/ a version 1?

you can trim off some of the ball detent so it doesn't stick up so far in the breach. i used some fine grit sand paper and rounded out the top of the rubber detent and it helped to keep the ball lower in the breach.

Yes I'm still on version 1. I left my Thumper in my cupboard to collect dust until i get good news, but i have recently decided to bring it back to life. The paintballs tend to get stuck just before it drops into the breech. So it is generally before they "hit" the rubber detent, but i will give the sanding a go too just to cover more bases.

sounds like the breech is not all the way open when cocked. double check to make sure you're not short stroking it.

It's at it is\was max furthest point in. I couldn't move the paddles or the rod because of the paintball. This happened with a few paintballs and i remember that it happened in the past as well.

if you're using the open class feedneck, watch down the top to see that the holes meet up when pumping. sounds weird, like really big paint or something is slightly off. take the rear thumb plate off and make sure it mounted on as far as it will go and tightened down well.

I have the same issue with ball pinching, like they just don't fall correctly and get lodged. I haven't tried sanding the detent yet (because it's not in my hands) but at the time the only thing I could do was to clear the breach by turning the Thumper upside down, open the breach all the way, and shake the ball out then try again.

I experience this all of the time. It's quite annoying.
