Has anyone seen the new detents that Metadyne is putting out for their new Thumpers?
Well I have. I happen to have 2 of them. Unfortunately they will not retro fit the older Thumpers. Which sux... How ever I made one to fit the older Thumpers. I will let you all know how it goes.

So what they did was mill out the bottom of the breach to fit a bigger piece with a tippmann detent in it.

So what I did was cut down a detent and jb weld it in. It has been in fort about 200 cycles right now and so far so good. No jamming at all, no roll out (but I am using a tight bore barrel). Time will tell I guess.

Below are pictures of their new detent and pictures of mine.

I'm going to say his reply was more targetted at the one quoted above ... meaning the bugs are still there in full glory.

Nice! Now to try and contact them to buy a new breech/detent combo. Here's hoping for success. My Thumper setup at the moment is solid, except for unreliable feeding.

I just happen to buy a couple of Thumpers from a member on here. They were brand new and that was the detent system that was in it. Had the old piston tho, so I am not sure.
