Quick question to Ghost owners.

I have never had a nelson based marker before, the ghost is my first. So I apologize if this is a bit Noobish. When pumping the Ghost, it feels like the bolt is sticking ever so slightly when you just start pumping, and at the end of the pump stroke it feels like it is getting stuck into place. Is this just how these markers feel? Is this something that will wear in as it gets used (she is brand spanking new)?

I heard a little about them "Breaking in" is this part of that ?

thanks in advance !

afox, that's the bolt oring, it will wear over time and not stick anymore. the fit isn't quite right between bolt oring groove and breech bore, if you wanted to properly fix it the bolt oring groove could be turned down a few thou (machinist job)

thanks a ton, that is what i thought it might be, after running about 200 rounds though it today the pump stroke is much smoother already. I can feel it sticking just ever so slightly now, and I think that in 200 rounds more it will be like butter.

So i wanted to run my ghost off of HPA, but I wanted to keep the stock look.

Here is the solution I came up with

I got the Lapco drop forward, witch fits right over the stock on the Ghost, then using a quick connect adapter, ran some more braided line to the ASA.

NOTE: that is an old crappy Co2 tank, I just used to test the fitting, I am getting my 13CI tank this weekend.

I think it turned out not to bad, it is a quick job to just remove the drop down and ASA so when the weather is warmer I can go back to running 12g's

I have #323 here. I cut the feedtube to 12-13. Shortened the T stock. Put a palmers inline stab on it. Plamers .680 brass barrel. Still playing around with springs and reg pressure. Over all i really like it. It is one of my favorite guns.

I have GG 237 (2006) It has been passed around like a joint at a concert, but hopefully it will stay with me for a while.

I have had Ryan at SSC do the following mods:

> Freak bore the barrel (a no brainer)

> I found the T stock too long for my tastes. I had Ryan shorten it by 2 inches and milled out some windows (like a cater stock) (pictures to follow)

> When I got the GG, the feedblock screw holes were stripped out. I had Ryan install stainless steel phantom inserts. Now the feedblock is secure and it is not going anywhere. This worked particularly well. I was concerned the inserts would rub the bolt, but Ryan did an excellent job getting them installed correctly.

> I am not a fan of the feel of the pump handle. I added some cushioning and secured it with a layer of hockey tape. I find the pump handle a lot more comfortable now.

I will be playing with the springs to try to lighten the pump stroke. I guess I should get it out on the feild on of these days.
