The idea behind the bore drop was to eliminate pinching in the breech. I think this was a huge selling point for the Bushmaster SI. Skirmish had a store in the San Fernando valley in socal, and my teammates usually spoke with a guy named Henry, who ran things up front at the time..
That was Henry Gilbert. Great guy, I wonder what ever became of Henry?????
