Need Help Identifying Sheridan Rifle

I saw this gun for sale at a yard sale and fell in love. I've tried to do research to find out what model it is, but I haven't seen one that looks exactly like this one. All I know is that it is from the K series. Thanks.

agreed. There's been talk that there was a KP2 DF that had a shorter lower barrel like that. I think they were few though. Almost definitely a KP3 with plunger rod in the bottom instead of the CA adapter.

What were they asking for it?

The KP3 is the one with the bar running across the bottom, right? (Pardon my ignorance, I'm fairly new to the world of pump markers). It looks like it would have to screw in somewhere, but my stock doesn't have any screw holes in it. Other than that the KP3 does look the most similar to me.

As for price, I only paid $20 for it. (steal)

I have a kp2 df with the short lower tube. It seems to me the way to tell the difference between a kp2 df from the kp3 with the tank holder removed, is the bolt.
Correct me if I am wrong(I don't own a kp3) but doesn't the kp3 use a bolt that has the ball bearing spacing like a p-series? The kp2 df ball bearings are further down the tube than kp3s. Kp2 df use standard kp2 bolts.

Nice find and a hell of a deal indeed. This type of story is what motivates me to tag along with my wife when she does her yard sale rounds in the spring and summer.

You can convert it back to it's original set-up with the addition of a tank cradle and CA (constant air) set-up. Palmers Pursuit Shop sells the cradles KP Bottle Bracket [SHERKP4] - $25.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop, Where Custom Still Means Something, but the CA parts may be a little harder to find.

The KP2 DF was the base gun which KP3's evolved from, Sheridan added the CA adapter, tank and bracket and called it a KP3. These upgrades were added later by alot of the owners so once the box was gone and the stock drilled for the bracket it is hard to tell what it was originally.
If your stock is undrilled there is a good chance it is a KP2 DF.

KP3 came like this:

KP2 DF new in the box, speed demon bolt, short lower tube with 12 gram rod only, stock was not drilled for CA bracket.
