| CCM Series5 RF Feedneck Mod. This modification of the stock CCM feedneck came about by necessity rather then some grand scheme. About 1.5 weeks ago I was playing on a airball field when on the breakout my loader decided to detach from from gun. I had to get one of the other players to lay down some covering fire so I could scurry out from my bunker and retrieve my loader. Anyhow... the problem was that the fine threading CCM used on the feedneck had stripped out. Basically I was done using my S5RF for the evening. My friend took the OEM CCM RF port and neck and did a reduction job on it. He got one of his friends to weld it back together and then I glass beaded the neck as the final touch. Later on I'll send it back out for reannodizing. My buddy had the idea of remounting the feedneck at an angle so it tilts back over the gun. So now the loader is slightly less likely to get hit, plus the center of gravity of the marker seems a little better. Plus I'll not need to worry about my threads stripping out ever again which was the original prob. Synops of the mod: Welded. Shorter feedneck, plus it's tilted slightly to the left for better center of gravity. Original picture of what the gun's feedneck used to look like. As you can tell, it sat up pretty high. ![]() What it looks like now: ![]() ![]() ![]() It sits a good 1/2" lower. Plus maybe 5 degrees of list to the left. Firing some Reball at home seems OK. So while Reball is marginally smaller then a regular paintball, I don't have any feeding worries. |

I don't know if I did a good job of explaining it, but I hope that helps. | |
