You know you play pump when.....

You make it back to the staging area after the game is over and 80% of the Field Members are back already. As I set my gun on in it's stand one of the members says to me "Shawn, we've come up with a new nickname for you", I say in response "what's my new nickname", he says "Old papa pump", I ask "what's the theory behind that name" and he answers "because you only shoot pump, your deadly as he!! and look at all your grey hair!".

We laughed and I accepted my new nickname.

When someone comments on how small your pgp is, you turn around and say "yeah, I don't need to compensate"

And

"Dude, I think their talking about us"
"Yeah, we're ****ing awesome."

By unfair do you mean the 10 year old hiding in the back of the field or do you mean taking on 3 or more electros unsupported? Not judging, I'm guilty of both.

I love at least trading out with experienced players. Only thing better is when I get to square up with fellow pump players.

Back on a casual Friday night in (I think) June, me and a buddy with open-class pumps convinced 12 renter kids who had never played before to take us on, on the CQB tactical field. Yeah, 2 vs. 12. The oldest kid was MAYBE 13. It was the only way they could be convinced to play with us--our jerseys and the fact that we owned our own guns automatically made us "pros" in their eyes...

...until they beat us without losing a single player.

Good times.

I completely agree with that statement. I think you can only become a better player when your matched up against experienced players!
