Phantom Barrels

I got my Phantom in the mail over the weekend, and I'm thinking about getting a new barrel for it. Since Phantoms only take phantom threaded barrels I'm having a hard time finding barrels for it. So, my question is can anybody recommend a good barrel for the Phantom, but isn't to expensive. I have seen a couple CF barrels, and while sexy they are a bit to much $$.

Thanks

Try PPS(Palmer Pursuit) barrels, they're made of brass so they are slightly heavier than most barrels, but many paintballers including myself swear by thier accuracy.

Cool, keep it coming.

I'm open to anyone who wants to sell a used barrel too.

Buy his autospirit, and then pick up a microshot.

Then use your stock barrel with detent rings for anything that doesnt work with those 2. Best barrels ever, detent rings and stock barrel are backup.

Have you shot the stock barrel yet? In all honesty, I've tried a few aftermarket barrels and haven't found one yet that's significantly better than the stock CCI tube. If you're stuck shooting really small paint, a smaller bore barrel, like a Lapco MicroShot or a small-bore Palmer barrel, would give you the most bang for your buck.

Still, though, just use the stock barrel for a bit before going out and spending any more of your hard-earned dough. Unlike most other manufacturers, Mike at CCI puts a top-notch barrel on the Phantom when he builds it - it is NOT some mass-produced aluminum tube with an interior texture akin to sandpaper.

Thanks Guys,

PM sent to you angelpena.

I know people say the stock barrel is good, but I think something might be wrong with mine. Looking down the bore it looks to have "flakes" and small pits throughout. My dad and I polished and cleaned it, and it helped a bit. But it still looks wrong, almost like it has water spots on it. Its kinda hard to describe.

At about 25 yards I only hold groups of about 3 feet across. I know paintball guns aren't that accurate but I know the phantom can do better than that.

Hrm...sounds like someone may have been a bit careless with it, then; not cleaned it properly or something. I'm assuming it's a used gun, correct? CCI barrels are "roller burnished" and on a couple I've seen there were very light lines that looked like very fine scratches running from end to end and regularly spaced around the interior surface. My current Phantom's barrel is like this and it shoots like a champ.

Actually, I have the original barrel from my first Phantom (it was 14", but I had it cut down to about 8" and re-crowned the tip myself) which could be yours for a ridiculously low cost...shoot me a PM if you're interested.
