CCM Series5 problem and questions

I was the one who recentley aquired a beautiful CCM Series 5 from one of our own members. I have a couple questions as well as help diagnosing a problem.

1) I had her at the local pump game a couple days ago. While chrono testing my horde, I was not able to get the S5 to shoot above 130 fps. This is between adjusting the reg and adjusting the hammer-spring velocity. I was shooting with a full 68/3k Tuff Skin. I have weeded the problem down to these:
A Malfunctioning reg;
B I am supposed to be running CO2 and am unaware;
C The springing is wrong. Any ideas?

2) I would like to use a PPS Stabalizer instead of the CCM reg. Is it pretty much a switch-n-go procedure or is there something special about the CCM reg?

3) I am guessing that the S5 is a low pressure gun; is this a correct assumption?

Cheers;
III

1st I would do is to sweetspot the regulator, start from 0 PSI and work your way up, more often than not the pressure is too high behind the valve, so the light spring can't open valve long enough.

One thing to check, though it probably isn't the case here. Awhile back Wharfrat was having this very same issue with his Sniper. I took the reg off, and a tank o-ring was lodged in the asa input, choking off the gas flow. It had been put in the asa so the reg would bottom out. Pulled it out, instant 320fps.

Tried that. No luck.

Not at all. I've already pulled it more than once. I didn't crack it open, but I have inspected the input and output.
