Bushmaster si question

I recently acquired a line si bushmaster deluxe, and it has the ca valve on it and I'm putting a bottom line grip frame on it soon, but I was wondering if there would be a difference in consistency over the chrono, or any other benefit, if I was to put a modern reg into the back of the valve and then running the air line from the asa to the reg. Would there be any benefits?

You'd likely see an increase in consistancy. Nelson's are pretty consistant anyway, so it might not be a very remarkable difference.

One advantage is that you gain a velocity control that you may have had to put a rod down the barrel for, or swap springs. You can set it high, and control the velocity with the reg.

The adjustability was what I was mainly looking for, because I have a nice shorty reg that won't stick too far back from the gun body, and I figured it would help make it more consistent over the chrono. Thank you

It will be slightly quieter, as well. Don't forget that a Female Stabilizer setup can do the same and works well at the higher pressures needed (500-900psi), and save you buying an ASA and reg separately, if you need that "shorty reg" for something else.

I'll actually be stealing the cp shorty reg off of my dads 05 pro stock pump that he never uses (he's shot it once in two years), and I have quite a few asa's laying around from old/not used much guns I have.
So all that's going to cost me is the money to get a new grip frame that I can put an asa on.

I have a few other questions though:

Is it possible to run the macro line through the grip frame and (possibly) straight into the valve, or through the grip and out of the top backside and make it similar to this punishers phantom?:

And would these CCM phantom 86 grips fit a lonestar m16 style grip frame?:

Found out that the 86 frame would fit, but I have another question: would a phantom va adapter kit work with the bushmaster? (main concern is the valve, I know I'd have to do something to mount the Asa for it onto the trigger guard)

I was looking at the on paintball gateway here

Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to Nelson's and I'm not very familiar with parts compatibility Thanks for all the help on what's been answered so far, it's much appreciated
