Do yourself a favor: Mike LOVES working on his old stuff.
The paint breakage is from the old internals. The jet of gas from the valve tube is busting a hole in the shell. The newer TPC internals diffuse the jet to the edges of the ball. Old school paint had a tougher shell and could take the blast, the current paint is just too brittle. If you sent it to Mike, and get yourself a complete set of modern internals along with the other stuff you want, Mike will assemble and tune and you'll be way happy.
Nice find, looks like something a teammate owned back a while ago, he "hand stripped" the barrel like that.

I don't really want to send it in to Mike though, I like working on markers myself, but I will order new internals...

Maybe I am just a fan of getting things for DIRT cheap, but if I found that, I would just toss on a Euro Grip from a rental Maverick/Trracer, and use a back bottle 9 oz or bucket changer. Spend a grand total of... nothing, if you can get the grip off an old rental.
