Thanks, guys!

I appreciate the information. Coming from an electric marker, I feel like open pump play is the coolest. I am really into the idea of having your own marker that not everyone necessarily has a clone of. I'm all about rec ball, the only reason I was actually concerned about pump play and it's variations is because it seems to already have such a small community around here that I'd hate to be that guy who has a converted cocker and shows up to face a bunch of guys who will only play stock class!

I am just fishing around for information at the moment anyhow, still need to play a game or two before I invest in a marker.

Well in Conn there is a great community of SC players. Post up in the North East section and they will find you. Slim is the unofficial leader. Great group of guys. They come up to play with us in Mass and we go down to them. A great little marker to do both SC and OC is the Phantom. You can get a brand new one for around 300.00$ and used down to 150.00$ and up. If you find you love SC and you really get into it or you want to favor Open you really won't lose much money. Not like a Speedball gun that does not hold it's value. So good luck and hope to see you at a Conn SC game.. Feyd.............

Ill keep an eye out for game postings. I'm sure someone has an extra pumper I could borrow. I realize winter makes it tougher though. xD

Thanks!
