Karni Pump questions
Hey everyone. I just picked up a Karni pump off of the web and had a few questions that I could not resolve by searching. First, it has a CCM 86* frame, stock ICS system, CP reg, and CCM Delux pump kit (the one that includes the front block). I installed the pump kit and AT off of my other pump, but with the AT installed the backblock will not always close all the way (leaves about an 1/8 inch gap) and it seems that the AT arm is not reaching forward enough to let the backblock touch like it should. Another thing I noticed was that the cocking rod is pretty loose, as in I can pretty easily turn it with my fingers. Should I loctite this with some blue loctite or will it be okay (im worried about it backing out while shooting). It also farts a bit, I have a madman spring kit: what spring combo would you guys recommend?

Nice gun! Shoot mel a message and/or post up in the CCM forum for best results. Someone will comes around here sooner than later who can help you out though. Good luck :)

idk if it makes a difference but the at cam was set up on a 45 frame, is there an adjustment to the cam that needs to be made thag i missed?

just tighten the cocking rod to teh back block more if it is lose. if there is a gap you can try to screw the back block to the pump arm more if there are any thread left.
the ics uses a shorter spring for the hammer than for a regular cocker

If i tighten the back block down more it does not cock, can you adjust where the ics cocks like the rubber bushing on a conventional cocking rod?

the ics was meant to be non adjustable, you are adjusting your bb travel trough your pump arm.
not sure why screwing your bb deeper into your pump would cause it to not be able to cock
i suggest taking out your ics part and see if that is limiting your travel, that way you can pin point the issue

The problem ended up being the frame. I swapped a CCM 45 frame on and the AT works great and there was no problem with the back block spacing now so I'm going to leave it set up that way. The way that it wouldn't let it cock was that it did not allow for enough movement to make it cock.

Okay, another stupid question: is there some sort of set screw or adjustment to keep the ivg from moving on it's own? Today I was going through the process of sweetspotting the reg and noticed that the ivg gradually backed its way out about one turn within a hopper

Normally the screw that keeps the snatchgrip fits into the slots in the ivg to keep it from moving. But since you are using a CCM frame, you don't have room to put the snatch grip on.

Yeah I just ripped it apart and saw that.. so anyone know how I can keep it in place? or if it is even needed? Also it was shooting rather inconsistant (+/- 10) but I think that is because the reg needs to be rebuilt and it was cheap grade field paint.
