SystemX Vengeance 4.0 Pump action velocity

Hi,

I just have some velocity "issue" with my Pump action Vengeance 4.0

I'm unable to reach 250 FPS with it
The reg is on the highest position , I'v put an inner spring twice the size of the original one and the adjusting screw is nearly @ the end of it's course ...

So does anybody had such experience in the past and more important the way to solve it

Thank you very much

Sorry for my poor english ... I'm a french speaking belgian so ....

That's probably your problem right there. I'm not a huge Sniper guy, so I can't tell you what the input pressure should be, but I guarantee you it shouldn't be maxed out. With it like that, you're hammer most likely isn't getting the valve all the way open.

Learn about sweet spotting your reg and just make sure your on the front side of the bell curve. Your pressure is probably so high it s actually shutting the valve to quickly

I've got a System X Type X that I converted to pump. I swapped regs for something I felt was more consistent and it was a bit of work to find the optimal adjustment balance. Maxing that reg out isnt your answer. I would back it out and start over.

That's much better when using 400 psi instead of 600 but still not the complete solution ....

Thank you

also i know this sound obvious but don't just let your marker shoot by itself, what i mean is you may have to hold the pump completely forward when shooting. i know when i first started playing with pump cockers i was letting the pump handle go when shooting and the bolt was moving back due to the air and i wasn't getting a constent shot my fps would drop way down if i didn't hold some slight tension forward on the pump handle.

Thank you
go lower!

300-350psi is what most cockers need to shoot 300psi.

reset your IVG, unscrew it until its flush with the back of the gun.
screw it in 2-3 turns.
shoot over chrono, holding pump handle forward.
**a good bore/paint match will also help**
adjust velocity with regulator, go about 1/2 turn at a time, cycle the air 5-10 shots before checking velocity

once the fps maxes out, then adjust the IVG to desired fps.

if your reg pressure is too high or too low, it will cause low velocity
