Here's my JT ER2-S. What have you guys done to yours?

I modded my ER2-S a little bit, but will be doing more. I taped up the barrel to hide that hideous orange, replaced the plastic pins on the pump handle with steel pins, and glued in a stationary bicycle tension knob to act as a speed wheel. Works great. I really love hell out of this little gun. Its fun to mess with with.

I will be adding a fixed feedtube (probably made from copper), and I need to figure out a way to reduce the number of turns on the CO2 knob. I think I can just slap a copper cap onto it to increase the length. I'll also be replacing the powertube, messing with the springs, and polishing the guts. Any tips on polishing plastic?

What all have you guys done with your snazzy little $30 plinkers?

Did yours start out black, or was it clear like mine?

If it was clear, what did you do to black it, and how has it held up?

My parts are in the mail, and my gun is in pieces on my desk. I'm actually hooking up a remote because the efficiency was very poor. Blacked my barrel with spray paint.

You probably bought the ER2, which was transparent. This is the ER2-S, which comes black. I liked this one because it's true stock class.

Go figure, the two guns I've been most excited for in YEARS are the eNMEy, and this. The super low-end mech and stock gun. I don't know what that says about me, but it's gotta say something. Lol.

I've been thinking about picking up an ER2 for a while but this S model looks alot better. What kind of efficiency are you getting out of it?

Has there been an ER2 build-off? If bondo will stick to the body, that would be fun. Maybe a little wood and stuff.

I saw mention of shoving a freak insert in the barrel, but couldn't find any results.

My inserts are longer than the stock barrel, it would need a replacement.

I got 12 usable shots. Only tested with one 12 gram.

Could probably get some of Ty's brass and cut shorty inserts. I used to have some 0.675 aluminum somewhere...

I think about these on occasion. I don't want to beat up the old splatmaster.

My ER2S .. I painted the barrel a raw cast iron color and have been playing with the springs a bit..my nelson spring kits did not want to fit inside the hammer so I sanded it out a bit. Have yet to chrono it but should have time to this weekend. It was only getting about 15 shots when new and the first few I am sure were way over 300fps.
Probably won't play with it this weekend but will on the 22nd for sure (going to a 10 year olds paintball birthday party )

I like mine. Like the rest of you I've painted my barrel but I'm about to see if I can put a threaded type barrel on it instead of the plastic.

I have done the Redux valve insert mod and changed to a stiffer valve spring (cocker). It gave me a few more shots and reduced the co2 puff as well. I'm looking to swap to a metal Tigershark power tube and a metal bolt.

My goal is to keep the stock look of the gun but have it perform noticeably better.
