I think us here on MCB should start a loner recycle thread.
The way it would might look some thing like this...
Here are my most prized markers I'm listing for you to try:
(pictures optional or by request)
My Illusion
Pyre (I wish)
Phantom, and so on.
Trades are temporary or discussed before hand.
Actual owner never loose actual owner ship, and can ask for it back when ever they want or specified.
This is assuming you trust one another of course.

The result is you now have experience with a marker you never used, and will help your decision to buy.

The reason they were cheap was because sellers were trying to get rid of there stock so they didn't get stuck with it in their inventory. The sellers that did that probably had a store besides ebay. After the big sellers get rid of their inventory, the price will go up.

this is all because of WGP dying and the decreasing popularity of autocockers in the mainstream.

The reason they were cheap is because WGP purged them cheap and so the MSRP was super low. Find them anywhere new and they should be around 300 bucks.

I think the subject of this thread is valid, ignoring the rest of the stuff about pump karnis and what have you.

Why are pumps so freaking expensive? You used to be able to buy a decent pump for 80 bucks new. Why can't we any more? What happened to the Hammer, the Trracer, the Hornet and the SL68? Why can't these guns make a comeback?

Comeback

I own 2 out of those 4 and love them. But we all know they don't make a comeback because they are not agg. Kids today don't want them, and lets face it, it is the kids with their parents money that is driving the market. Peer pressure or being agg is what has little Johnny buying an electro because little Billy has one and he is the bomb!

Daaaaang. I remember when they were NEW back in '04 at OK D-Day. $1000+ and they were the "sexy marker" to be toting.

Anyway, if pumps go for that over there, then maybe I can get $400+ for my SS-25. After all, it has "1337 pump return spring action" (I put a #138 in the pump handle), and "ub3r akurat hamerhed baral kit1111!!!!" (hammer head kit with 12" and 14" fronts). Would make up for some of what I'll be paying for PY024.

If they're going to be such suckers with their $$ (or their parent's money) then I have no trouble taking it off their hands for more responsible use .

You know, when you consider that goggle straps used to go for well over $100 on PbN, their pump prices are really quite reasonable.
