Looking for Trracer help

I just bought the wife a Trracer but the velocity is way too high (over 350). I think I need to put in a different spring but wasn't sure if there is an online store that carries those or maybe someone has some and would be willing to part with one for a few bucks.
Thanks.

Don't they have a down the barrel adjuster? If not, sorry I can't help.

No the older bolts didn't have a velocity adjuster, the newer ones did, I have an older model. The only way to adjust velocity on it is changing the springs, as far as I know.

The Trracer should take standard Nelson Springs, same as a Cocker.

Get a set of those, Maddman makes a set, and you will get a combination of valve and hammer springs.

What color of springs are currently in the gun?

I think steel, I don't think they are colored at all, do you know how much a spring set costs?
Thanks.

A spring set should run between 8$ and $15. Depending on where you get it....

Another option is to put a reg on it to bring the speed down. That's what I do on my Sterling.....

If the velocity's too high, another (somewhat dangerous) trick is to snip the hammer spring a bit.

But that's obviously touch-and-go, overcutting it makes it too short and completely ruins the velocity. Get another spring set before you try anything like this.

I would'nt recomend runing a reg on the Traccer. Your best/easy bet is to order a cocker spring set and try a few different combos until its happy. The draw back there is the fact that you have to disassemble to gun each time you need to adjust the crono speed.

Heres a cheap set from I&I

Idealy you are going to want to track down a Adjustable bolt.

Hewres one for a tagmaster...you'll just have to drill/tap the holes for the side cocking as opposed tot he under.
